All section Staged Badges
At whatever age, a young person in the Movement is a 'Scout'.
The progressive scheme of training which spans the six to twenty five age range is made up of five training Sections. Each Section has its own identity, ethos and style. They all have adult support which varies in the different age groups.
Beaver Scouts (six and seven year-olds) who meet as the Colony and are part of the 34th Reigate (Meadvale) scout group.
Aim of The Scouting
'The Aim of the Scout Association is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities '.
From its inception Scouting has had a simple and positive Promise that is required to be made by all its Members. Together with the Law, this gives a distinctive ethos to the practices of the Movement, and acts as a bond with Scouts in other countries.
